Some time ago, I put sweat, blood, and tears into creating my own keyboard layout. The layout is designed for optimal interaction with tiling window managers like XMonad, Vim, and NeoVim, as well as terminal applications. You can read about how the layout came about, which metrics I considered, and the ideas behind the layouts here (LINK). The layout is for keyboards running the QMK firmware and exists for a handful of keyboards.
